Prof. Irit Rogoff, Ph.D. - Marie Jahoda Visiting Professor - Winter term 1996/1997

Irit Rogoff is a professor of art history at the University of California, USA and received her doctorate at the Courtauld Institute of Art at the University of London, UK, in 1987. She was director of the project, “Translating the Image: Cross-cultural Contemporary Arts” which was produced by the Art and Humanities Research Board, UK. For this research project, she won the British Academy Award in 2000. Rogoff is also co-editor of the Journal of Visual Culture, Parallax, AD Art and Design and Journal of Philosophy and Visual Representations.
