Rheumyo

The core objective of Rheumyo is to offer patients affected by rheumatic diseases a digital service that supports them throughout the various stages of their treatment. To this end, the product is to be optimized based on the results of initial pilot projects, which are to be carried out in the clinical environment at the beginning of the funding phase, in order to enable positive care effects for those affected and also to develop the existing prototype of the initial version of Rheumyo into a marketable product version (MVP).

ACTitude - Dein Begleiter für psychische Flexibilität

In Germany alone, up to 18 million people have a need for psychological support. While for various reasons only about one fifth of these people seek professional help in therapy, the majority remain without psychological support. Especially for people who feel psychologically burdened but do not yet have an indication for therapy according to psychotherapeutic standards, it is important to take countermeasures in time to counteract a manifestation of symptoms. ACTitude therefore offers digital services for the prevention of mental illness. These include online courses (with audio, visual and text material) as well as a podcast ("The Upward Spiral"). The courses are based on acceptance and commitment therapy.

Coop4Health.NRW: Bürgergenossenschaft für eine bessere Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden der NRW-Bevölkerung

Coop4Health.NRW will establish a citizen cooperative as part of the LifeSciences.NRW lead market competition to help improve the health and well-being of the NRW population. It will achieve this by integrating personal (health-related) data and information from the ecosystem for data-driven healthcare in NRW. What is special about the innovative governance approach of this cooperative is that citizens themselves have full control over their data and can jointly decide on its use for the benefit of all citizens. This makes data and information potentially usable across different "data silos" for all stakeholders inside and outside the healthcare sector even across regional and national borders. This approach is fully compatible with the EU GDPR and in line with the recommendations of the European Union in its Digital Health Strategy or Digital Single Market (DSM) strategies. Moreover, it is already legally regulated and anchored in all EU member states.Participating citizens will be offered individualized prevention, health promotion and healthcare measures that are specifically tailored to their needs and desired by them. Utilizing the knowledge of the citizen cooperative will improve local and regional healthcare delivery and planning in NRW and open up new opportunities for the digital health economy.

Healthcare Startups Ökosystem NRW 2020

In the digital healthcare industry in North Rhine-Westphalia, there is an increasing number of start-ups that want to improve healthcare with innovative approaches. However, the healthcare system requires a specialized funding and support offering for founders that can help them deal with the specific challenges of the industry. Therefore, the aim of the project is to first describe and further connect the start-up landscape in the digital health industry. To achieve this, the following activities are targeted:

1) Establishment of an Internet presence and initial infrastructure Healthcare Living Lab Düsseldorf.

2) Internet portal of the eHealth start-up landscape in NRW

3) The organization of an event "Healthcare Startups Ecosystem NRW".

Healthcare Start-up Ökosystem NRW 2021

The aim of the planned project is to systematically record the current challenges, needs and wishes of the healthcare startup ecosystem in NRW and, based on this, to formulate concrete recommendations for action (within the framework of a report/white paper) for several stakeholders (e.g. startups, politics, universities).

Building on the Healthcare Startup Ecosystem NRW 2020 project, two aspects in particular are therefore to be (further) developed:

  1.  The DigiHealthStart.NRW platform: Here it is planned to equip the platform with further content. Specifically, this includes the establishment of a matchmaking function in order to network startups with other players (e.g. stakeholders in the healthcare sector, business angels) in a targeted manner. Furthermore, the platform is to be expanded as the starting point for annual monitoring (see point 2).
  2. Design and piloting of a comprehensive monitoring system: In order to develop tailored offers for the needs of start-ups in the healthcare sector, the needs must be analyzed. To this end, several activities are planned. a) Conducting an online survey of start-ups in NRW, which will serve as the basis for an annual survey. b) Collecting qualitative data in the context of five start-up biographies (targeted). Here, different emphases will be set, e.g., the focus will be on the topic of start-ups by women. c) Design and implementation of a cross-border study in the Netherlands, d) Publication of a report or white paper "Digital Health Start-ups in NRW".
