Zeynep Kapısız

Zeynep Kapısız is a research assistant at the chair of Social Theory and Social Psychology at Ruhr University Bochum. Since October 2019 she works in the DFG-funded research project entitled "Cultural Transformations and Adaptations of Psychological Knowledge by Parents in Turkey. A Qualitative Study".

Between 2009 and 2013 she studied Psychology (B.S.) at Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara and then she has graduated in M.A. Developmental Psychology. In her master's thesis; the relationship between perceived social support from family / friends and the characteristics of autobiographical narratives about family / friends among young and older adults was researched. During her master's studies, she worked in the Developmental Neuropsychology Laboratory at Ruhr University as an Erasmus + exchange student.

In addition to her academic experience, she has worked as a psychologist with Turkish and Syrian children and families in Izmir.
