Since 2011, Birgit Frey has been coordinator for the implementation of interdisciplinary teaching projects in the inSTUDIES project, since October 2016 under the direction of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Straub.
Birgit Frey supported RUB teachers in the conception, implementation and evaluation of interdisciplinary Summer Schools, is involved in the development and implementation of university didactic training on the topic and works on the development of cross-faculty networking structures.
inSTUDIES is a project of the German federal-state program Qualitätspakt Lehre and is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Science.
Prior to her time at the RUB, she was managing director of the Center for Nonprofit Management in Münster (2007-2010), project manager and deputy managing director of the Städte-Netzwerk NRW in Unna (2000-2007), and research assistant at the FernUniversität Hagen and the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (1995-1999).
