Welcome to the Faculty of Social Science
The Faculty of Social Science at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum pursues a modern interdisciplinary approach of Social Science. The central characteristic of the Faculty is the linking between the five on par disciplines Political Science, Sociology, Social Psychology and Social Anthropology, Social Policy and Social Economy as well as Social Science Methodology and Statistics.

Application and registration
To begin a Bachelor’s degree in the winter term 2013/2014, you must apply by 15.07.13 (limited admission). You can find the corresponding information pages for the Ruhr University of Bochum Here. To begin a Master's degree in the winter term 2013/2014, you must apply by 15.07.13. Prior to registration, prospective students must complete an obligatory counselling interview.
